    Chef Gopal, a native of Tamilnadu in South India, discovered his love for cooking from a young age. Growing up, he eagerly contributed to his family’s restaurant during school breaks, gaining invaluable insights into the use of authentic spices and herbs. Recognizing his passion, Chef Gopal decided to pursue a career in the culinary field and successfully graduated in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from 1999 to 2002. In 2011, he furthered his education by completing a Master of Arts in Tourism Management. Boasting over 21 years of culinary experience, Chef Gopal has honed his skills in various esteemed establishments, including luxury hotels, renowned resorts, fine-dining restaurants, multinational corporate catering services in India, and cruise lines in the USA. Starting as a prep cook, he steadily climbed the ranks, mastering global and regional Indian cuisines, ultimately achieving the position of Executive Sous Chef. Prior to his relocation to Canada in early 2023 with his family, Chef Gopal served as an Executive Chef for five years in a leading corporate catering service within a software company and as part of the largest group of Italian restaurants in Bangalore, India. Beyond his professional achievements, Gopal finds joy in spending quality time with his family and creating delicious meals for them. A dedicated lifelong learner, he has a profound passion for travel, exploring local cultures, and delving into diverse food traditions. For Chef Gopal, cooking transcends beyond a mere job; it is a continuous and evolving art form that inspires and delights.
