Carleton Dining Services has taken the appropriate measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience for students in the caf. The changes which have been implemented can be seen below:

  • In respect to current capacity limitations, the caf will only be open to Residence Meal Plan holders.
  • In accordance with capacity limitations, there will be a limited number of Residence Meal Plan holders that can be in the caf at a time.
  • Our serving stations are set up with plexiglass barriers to minimize contact.

Caf Guidelines

For everyone’s well-being and enjoyment of the caf:

  1. You may only use your own campus card when entering the caf.
  2. We ask that you use sanitizer at one of the various stations upon entering the caf.
  3. You must wear a mask or facial covering that covers your nose, mouth, and chin at all times, unless you are seated at a table.
  4. Outside food, beverages and containers are not permitted inside the caf with the exception of given reusable containers.
  5. We ask that you remain socially distanced while moving throughout the caf.
  6. You will be able to fill your container with a main entrée, sides, pasta, and/or pizza. You will also be given a choice of soup or salad, choice of dessert, fruit, and a beverage. To ensure that all meal-plan holders can receive timely service, we would ask students to limit their meals to once per hour.
  7. Unless there is an emergency, we ask that you only enter and exit the caf at the designated areas.
