Dietary Restrictions or Severe Allergies?
We do not use any peanut or tree nuts in our recipes and we do not purchase products with peanuts or tree nuts in the ingredient list. However, please note that there is always a risk of cross contamination due to our open kitchens. Hence, we advise our guests with food allergies to communicate them to our chefs and Registered Dietitian prior to dining with us.
For more information on how we accommodate for students with severe allergies on campus, refer to Carleton Dining’s Allergen Guide.
The Gluten-Free Pantry is open!
The Gluten-Free pantry is open throughout the school year! For any student on a Residence Meal Plan with questions or concerns about food and nutrition, relating to food allergies and intolerances or those who require access to the Gluten-Free Pantry during the academic school year, please schedule an appointment with our Registered Dietitian using this link: https://calendly.com/dietitian-appointment.
Ravens Choice
Craving a taste of home? Wishing a specific dish would be on the menu at the dining hall? Our Raven’s Choice program can help!
Submit a recipe through our Raven’s Choice program, and your dish may be featured at The Innovation Hub!
Sick Chits
If you are not feeling well, contact your Residence Fellow or Residence Manager to make arrangements for a Sick Chit. They will provide another designated individual (likely a friend) with a Sick Chit that allows them to pick up a meal and return it to your room.
Boxed Meals
For those on a Residence Meal Plan, Boxed Meals can be ordered in lieu of physically dining in the dining hall. If you have scheduling conflicts with classes, leaving campus before the dining hall opens, or just can’t make it to a specific meal period, you can order a boxed meal to take with you!
Napkin Talk
Napkin Talk is our feedback program in the dining hall so we can gauge how much students are enjoying their dining experience. Share your thoughts on a napkin and post it on our Napkin Talk board! Our culinary team is always listening and eager to bring your dining dreams to life!
