Kshitiz Sethi
Sous Chef
Sous Chef Kshitiz Sethi’s culinary journey began in his father’s bakery in India, where he learned early on that food is both craft and care. Surrounded by the rhythm of daily production and the joy of serving familiar faces, he developed a deep respect for consistency, discipline, and community.
After exploring entrepreneurial ventures in India, Kshitiz moved to Canada to formally pursue his culinary education at George Brown College in Toronto, where he completed their Culinary Management program. His career has since taken him through a range of kitchens — from Italian restaurants and catering operations to large-scale hospitality environments.
He had the honour of representing Canada at the Barilla Pasta World Championship in Paris, an experience that strengthened his appreciation for simplicity, technique, and thoughtful flavours. He has also been featured in publications such as Toronto Life and Foodservice and Hospitality Magazine.
Today, as a Sous Chef at Carleton Dining, Kshitiz focuses on building strong kitchen systems, mentoring team members, and delivering fresh, flavourful meals to the campus community. He believes great food doesn’t need to be complicated — it needs to be prepared with intention and served with pride.
