Harsh Desai
Executive Sous Chef
For as long as he can remember, Executive Sous Chef Harsh has always had a passion for cooking. Born and raised in India, Harsh studied Mechanical Engineering in his home country and worked in the industry for a few years before deciding to pursue his true passion for cooking.
He is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Baking & Pastry Arts program and received his diploma in French Cuisine from Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa in 2020 before becoming a Red Seal Certified chef. Since then, he has accumulated more than five years of fine dining experience working at local restaurants like Fraser’s Restaurant and The Rowan before eventually landing at Carleton Dining Services.
Harsh lists both French and Indian Cuisines as his favourites and loves to play golf and cricket when he’s not in the kitchen.
