No, Teraanga Commons Dining Hall remains open during breaks and you are able to use your meal plans to get meals if you are remaining on campus at those times.

Guest passes are used if you would like to bring those that do not have a Residence Meal Plan into Teraanga Commons Dining Hall for a meal with you. If you would like to use a guest pass, please let one of our staff members know at the front desk of Teraanga Commons Dining Hall and they will be able to assist you!

For the Reduced Meal Plan, your meals start on Monday morning and end on Sunday night. They reset each week so you cannot carry over meals from week to week.

Breakfast is from 7:30 am – 10:59 am
Lunch is from 11:00 am – 4:29 pm
Dinner is from 4:30 pm – 10:00 pm

You get 10 meals per week on the Reduced Meal Plan, that can be used once per meal period.

On the All-Access and All-Access Plus meal plans, you have unlimited access to Teraanga Commons Dining Hall, meaning you can swipe in multiple times per day and even multiple times within each meal period; however, you may not swipe in 30 minutes prior to your previous visit. If you are on the Reduced Meal Plan, you are allowed to swipe in once per meal period, amounting to 3 times per day maximum.

- For the Fall Term, the last day to decrease your meal plan is September 17th, 2025.
- For the Winter Term, the last day to decrease your meal plan is January 20th, 2026.
If you’re looking to upgrade your Residence Meal Plan and, as a result, increase the number of meals you are entitled to per week, you can make that upgrade at any point throughout that term.

- For the Fall Term, Meal Plans begin on August 29th, 2025 at lunch.
- For the Winter Term, Meal Plans begin on January 4th, 2026 at dinner.

You can use your Dining Dollars at most Dining Services locations. That includes our Food Court, Loeb Café, Starbucks, Subway, Booster Juice, Oasis and even for walk-in meals at Teraanga Commons Dining Hall!
For Bridgehead Nicol and Tim Hortons orders, Dining Dollars may only be redeemed through the Hey Chef app.
You cannot use your Dining Dollars at vending machines.
