Our first week at the caf, our chefs put together an awesome Tastes of the City menu! Everyday for lunch at the mix we'll be serving up fun dishes that are specialties in Ottawa to give you a taste of your new home. Here are the highlights:




Monday : Local Dressed Up Grilled Corn on the Cob from Rideau Pines Farm (learn more about this local farmer located under 30km from campus: http://www.rideaupinesfarm.com/ )



Tuesday: Shawarma Potatoes because fun fact - Ottawa is the Shawarma Capital of the World!



Wednesday: Volvo Sub made famous by Milanos Pizzeria in Ottawa



Thursday: Hemp Seed Cookies using local ingredients



Friday: Egg Rolls with Scratch Dipping Sauces inspired by Golden Palace Egg Rolls



Saturday: Beaver Tails!! This famous artisanal Canadian pastry opened it's first location in the Byward Market in Ottawa



Sunday: Poutine using local St Albert's Cheese Curds (learn more about this amazing cooperative located under 60km from campus http://fromagestalbert.com/?lang=en )
