Stephan is the Sous Chef at the full service Bakers Restaurant in the University Centre. He has been in the field for about 25 years and is Red Seal certified. He is also a mentor apprentice here at Carleton Dining Services. Stephan’s first job was a dishwasher in Montreal but found him drawn to the cooks behind the line whom he thought were the coolest. His biggest accomplishment was when he worked as a consultant to open a restaurant north of Montreal. It was a different aspect of the industry but all the long days and endless hours he put in paid off with a successful opening!
Although born in Montreal, Stephan has also spent a portion of life in Germany and Alberta before settling in Ontario. On his bucket list, he would like to visit the African Safari.
