Dina Tarasevich

Pastry Chef
Pastry Chef Dina can be found at Bree’s Inn in Teraanga Commons Dining Hall making sweet treats for all our guests! She began her journey in the culinary arts when she was just five years old, cooking up pancakes and fried fish alongside her grandmothers in Siberia. To this day, Dina is still fascinated by their skills and insists that their recipes cannot be replicated – nothing compares to the original!
Dina eventually studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa and worked at many restaurants throughout the Ottawa region including Steak and Sushi, Tulip Bar and Lounge, and Signatures. You can also find her at Algonquin College teaching pastry classes as well taking courses about formulating recipes for people with dietary restrictions. Dina is passionate about baking for special diets and is always looking for recipes that can help her better accommodate our guests with dietary restrictions!
Besides baking, Dina also spends her time volunteering as a trainer for Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, reading, paddleboarding, skating and listening to true crime podcasts.
